- BioCity is a groundbreaking new healthcare and bioscience innovation and incubation centre and has the potential to be one of the largest in the UK and Europe.
BioCity Nottingham was made possible by a huge donation of laboratory and office buildings and equipment from BASF to Nottingham Trent University in 2001 (in what is believed to be the largest ever corporate donation to a new university).

- York Science Park stimulates a mechanism for the identification, appraisal and selection of innovative pharmaceuticals, life sciences, computer science, electronics and healthcare with the aim of progressing their success and business development.
